About MICIS
Module intelligence designed for improvement
MICIS is the Module Intelligence and Continuous Improvement System: a secure digital platform designed to support the structured review and continuing development of academic modules.
MICIS brings approved module evidence, specialist AI analysis, professional discussion, recommendations and recorded decisions together within an auditable environment. It helps users examine module materials as a connected body of evidence rather than as isolated documents.
The current pilot supports evidence-led review of existing modules, discussion with AskMICIS, recorded feedback and downloadable review reports. Findings depend on the evidence available for the selected module. Missing or unreadable materials are highlighted so users can judge the limits of each review.
MICIS is being developed to support module and Module Descriptor Form (MDF) design alongside the review of existing modules. Reusable organisational learning remains subject to governance, confidentiality and the authority of module-specific evidence.
